Chanting to the Goddess Durga brings clarity and prosperity into one’s life. Below was the information for our 2011 Navaratri, which is the 9 nights of the Goddess Durga. This class will teach students the relevant mantras for the celebration of Navaratri, which is the 9 nights of the Goddess Durga. These mantras can be continued as a regular practice in one’s life afterward.
What is Navaratri? An extravagant Nine Night celebration of the Mother goddess Durga. She ensures success, abundance, and ability for the accomplishment of our dreams. Please join us in our worship of the Mother of the Universe.Who is Durga?Durga is the Supreme Shakti, which empowers all other gods and goddesses. She is the universe itself. By worshiping her, we remove our Tamas, confusion, and unclarity. She gives us proper direction in life. When?Puja, a ceremony of offerings, will be performed for nine consecutive nights concluding with a morning fire ritual on the 10th day. All offerings will then be taken down to the Yuba River. We are lucky to have the pujas led by Veeru Triphathi, an expert Vedic priest from Varanasi. You are welcome to come to one, multiple, or all nights. Why?Navaratri is one of the most important festivals of the Vedic Dharma. It is a time of coming together with love and devotion to improve the Earth energy in this beautiful town and people. We are removing the negative parts of our lives and healing ourselves in these nine days. Also a traditional harvest festival, it is a time to celebrate the abundance that our Mother gives us.
These are videos from 2011 Chandi path class. The Sapa Vimochana is a prayer for becoming free of any curses or negativeness.
