Veeru

Acharya Virag Triphathi is a traditional Brahmin (Vedic Priest), who comes from an unbroken lineage of Raj Purohits (Priests for the King). At a young age he was trained by his Grandfather, a well known Brahmin and Jyotishi (Vedic Astrologer). From age 7 to 13 Acharya Virag diligently studied and memorized the Vedas in Sankaracharya tradition, the ultimate authority for Vedic Sanatam Dharma. After completing his initial studies, he continued to expand his knowledge of the Vedas by studying and practicing Sanskrit, Mantras, and Yagyas (Rituals) with the greatest masters in India.
Virag has been performing Yagyas (Rituals) consistently from the age of 14 onwards. His Yagyas (Rituals) are powerful and leave one in a state of palpable peace. Virag is well-known for his Maha Arti at the main Ghaat at the Ganga River in Varanasi, India, where he served as Acharya (Head Priest). Chief Ministers, Prime Ministers, Presidents, movie stars, and other important people have come to participate in this puja that is now one of the most famous public offerings in India.

Virag enjoys performing all types of Yagyas (Rituals), such as Graha Shanti (Pacifying of the Planets), Rudra Abhishek, marriage ceremonies, festivals, and Navaratri, which is 9 days of nonstop Rajo Upachar worshipping of the Mother Goddess. He has garnered large audiences for his pujas; thousands of people come to experience his Yagyas (Rituals). He currently splits his time between Varanasi, India, and Nevada City, California, USA.
